Hello!

Greetings, everyone! I created this page to serve as a repository of information and resources, along with answers to frequently asked questions, for my advisees. Please be advised that this information is curated by a single faculty member at NC State for a select group of students and should only be used in consultation with your academic advisor, which should be me!

If you’re reading this and have not met me for the first time, a couple of “ground rules” about this site! Take a look through the information and bookmark it so you can return here to find answers to FAQs and other important resources as you need them. My hope is that you’ll be able to come here to get answers to quick questions and won’t need to wait on an email from me. Please do not rely on the information here exclusively, though. This is all general information and anything I tell you directly overrides anything that can be found on this site.

A little bit about me before you click throughout the links above! I am a graduate of two programs here at NC State, the Master’s in Technical Communication and the PhD in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media. After graduating, I left the University and worked elsewhere before life presented me with an opportunity I couldn’t resist, so I returned to NC State in the Fall of 2016. Prior to entering academia, I was a web developer for many, many years, both working for companies in industry and owning my own web development business.

I am excited to be your academic advisor and eager to help you to reach whatever goals and aspirations you’ve set for yourself. The game of Tetris that is registering for classes is one we will tackle together, but beyond that I will also be here to serve as a resource, a listening ear, and someone you can vent to when and if needed. Get familiar with my email address!
